Non-Profit Certifications

State – The MI Innovation Alliance has been certified in the state of Michigan as a Nonprofit Corporation since it began operations as the MIT Enterprise Forum of Southeast Michigan.  That certification remains in effect as the MI Innovation Alliance.

Federal – As an affiliate chapter of the national MIT Enterprise Forum, the predecessor to the MI Innovation Alliance was certified as a 501(c)(3) educational corporation.  As a stand-alone entity, the MI Innovation Alliance is now independently filing as a 501(c)(3) charitable and educational corporation, and anticipates receipt of a favorable ruling shortly.

IRS Form 990 filings for the MI Innovation Alliance will be available after November 2017.
